Klingspor Museum collects contemporary international book and manuscript art. It is based on the collection of Karl Klingspor.
The specimen types of the fonts cast by type foundry Brothers Klingspor in the first half of the 20th century are unique. Further themes covered include calligraphy, illustration, book binding, artist books, calendars, and posters. In its permanent exhibition, special exhibitions, and other activities the museum vividly visualizes the vitality of the printed word and printed logos in the past and present.
Book art up close and personal: The library offers a glimpse at works of book art by prior appointment. Browse pages upon pages of Picasso, Matisse, Chagall – and prepare to be amazed!
